University WordPress Service – blogs.lincoln.ac.uk

blogs.lincoln.ac.uk is the University of Lincoln’s blog network. The network is a WordPress Service where users can put together their own blog sites for their University project work or research. After initially launching in 2009, the blogs network is accessible to all staff and students – just sign in with your University username and password.

All sites hosted on https://blogs.lincoln.ac.uk have recently been migrated over to a new, externally hosted server and have been updated to the most recent version of WordPress. All sites can be accessed as before, with the same site addresses being carried over during the migration. The hosting company will also ensure that during the WordPress installation, themes and plugins are kept up to date.

As a result of the upgrade, you may notice a difference in the style or look of your site, this is a result of older themes being no longer supported by WordPress. We have, however, enabled themes that should serve as suitable replacements and an extensive selection of alternative themes has also been made available.

Please see https://blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/wordpress-help/ for more details on common changes to themes and further guidance for using WordPress.

Please be aware that following the upgrade some plugins will no longer be supported, although alternative plugins can be made available. If your site requires a plugin to be enabled, then please email contact@campuspress.com with your requirements.

If you have any questions or require any support for blogs, please email contact@campuspress.com
